Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before enquiring about or booking a travel experience with Vista Treks & Safaris.

Last Updated: August 31, 2026

Welcome to Vista Treks & Safaris. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, vistatreksandsafaris.com, and the travel services we provide.

By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or booking a trip with us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Our Services

Vista Treks & Safaris provides travel and tourism services in Tanzania, including:

  • Wildlife safaris
  • Mount Kilimanjaro trekking
  • Mount Meru trekking
  • Zanzibar holidays
  • Cultural experiences
  • Day trips and excursions
  • Airport and private transfers
  • Tailor-made travel experiences

Our trips may include services provided by independent third-party suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, transport companies, guides, and activity providers.

2. Enquiries and Bookings

Submitting an enquiry through our website, email, WhatsApp, or another communication channel does not constitute a confirmed booking.

A booking is confirmed only after:

  • The itinerary and services have been agreed upon
  • Availability has been confirmed
  • The required deposit has been received
  • Written confirmation has been provided by Vista Treks & Safaris

Until confirmation is provided, availability and prices may change.

3. Prices and Quotations

All prices are based on the itinerary and services specified in your quotation.

Prices may change before booking confirmation due to changes in:

  • Park fees
  • Conservation fees
  • Government taxes
  • Accommodation rates
  • Transportation costs
  • Fuel prices
  • Exchange rates
  • Supplier charges

Once your booking has been confirmed, any changes to the agreed price will be communicated to you where applicable.

4. Payment

The required deposit and final payment deadline will be communicated in your quotation or booking confirmation.

Your booking may be cancelled if the required payment is not received within the agreed period.

Any bank charges, payment processing fees, or currency conversion charges may be payable by the traveller where applicable.

5. Cancellation by the Traveller

Cancellation charges depend on the services booked and the cancellation conditions provided with your booking.

Because many travel services are prepaid to third-party suppliers, refunds may be affected by their individual cancellation policies.

The cancellation policy applicable to your booking will be communicated before confirmation.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption protection.

6. Changes to Your Booking

You may request changes to your itinerary after booking.

Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

Examples include changes to:

  • Travel dates
  • Number of travellers
  • Accommodation
  • Safari destinations
  • Activities
  • Transfers
  • Trekking arrangements

We will advise you of any additional costs before confirming requested changes where reasonably possible.

7. Changes by Vista Treks & Safaris

We make every reasonable effort to operate your trip according to the confirmed itinerary.

However, changes may occasionally be necessary because of weather, road conditions, park regulations, accommodation availability, safety concerns, government requirements, or other circumstances.

Where a change is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative.

8. Safari and Wildlife Disclaimer

Wildlife exists in its natural environment and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Vista Treks & Safaris cannot guarantee sightings of specific animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, or the Great Migration.

Our professional guides will make reasonable efforts to provide the best possible wildlife experience while respecting national park regulations and responsible tourism practices.

9. Trekking and Mountain Activities

Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and other trekking activities involve physical exertion and inherent risks.

Possible risks include:

  • Altitude sickness
  • Extreme weather
  • Cold temperatures
  • Fatigue
  • Dehydration
  • Falls and injuries
  • Difficult terrain
  • Delayed evacuation

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they are medically and physically suitable for their chosen activity.

Our guides may modify or stop a trek where they reasonably believe that continuing would create an unacceptable safety risk.

10. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that every traveller obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travelling to Tanzania.

Travel insurance is not necessarily a mandatory requirement for every trip. However, it is very important in case of an emergency , particularly for travellers participating in mountain trekking and other adventure activities.

High-Altitude Trekking Coverage

Travellers climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or undertaking high-altitude trekking are strongly advised to choose an insurance policy that specifically covers high-altitude activities up to at least 6,000 metres above sea level , including emergency medical treatment and evacuation where applicable.

Your insurance should ideally cover:

  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency medical evacuation
  • High-altitude trekking up to at least 6,000 metres above sea level, where applicable
  • Trip cancellation
  • Trip interruption
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • Travel delays
  • Personal belongings
  • Accidental injury
  • Emergency repatriation where applicable

Travellers are responsible for checking the terms, limits, exclusions, and altitude restrictions of their insurance policy before travelling.

Please ensure that your policy specifically covers the activities included in your itinerary. Having adequate travel insurance can provide important financial and practical protection in the event of an unexpected emergency during your trip.

11. Traveller Responsibilities

Travellers are responsible for:

  • Having a valid passport
  • Obtaining the required visa
  • Meeting Tanzania's entry requirements
  • Providing accurate booking information
  • Arriving on time for scheduled activities
  • Following guide and driver instructions
  • Respecting wildlife and national park rules

  • Informing us of relevant dietary, medical, mobility, or other requirements

12. Accommodation

Accommodation is subject to availability.

If the selected accommodation becomes unavailable, Vista Treks & Safaris may arrange alternative accommodation of a similar standard where reasonably possible.

Accommodation services are provided by independent suppliers and may be subject to their own terms and policies.

13. Third-Party Suppliers

Some services included in your trip may be provided by independent companies or organizations.

These may include:

  • Hotels and lodges
  • Camps
  • Airlines
  • Transport providers
  • Park authorities
  • Boat operators
  • Activity providers
  • Local guides

We carefully select service providers where possible, but we cannot control every aspect of services provided by independent third parties.

14. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

Travel conditions may change unexpectedly.

Vista Treks & Safaris is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including road conditions, weather, flight delays, vehicle breakdowns, government restrictions, park closures, or other unexpected events.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist travellers when such situations occur.

We will not be liable for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These may include:

Vista Treks & Safaris is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

17. Liability

Vista Treks & Safaris will take reasonable care when arranging and providing our services.

However, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss, injury, delay, damage, or additional expenses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of independent third-party service providers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
